Welcome to Mitchell Download Manager (MDM) for Mitchell Estimating. Use the following instructions to set up Mitchell Estimating to receive automatic electronic updates each month. Once configured, you will no longer need to download your monthly updates from a DVD.

Insert the monthly Mitchell Estimating DVD the same as you do for every update.

1. Locate your account number on the DVD packaging Mitchell mailed to you.
2. Click the question mark next to the Account# field for an illustration.

   Note: You can also find the account number on your monthly invoice for Mitchell Estimating.

1. Enter the account number in the Account # field.
2. Re-enter the account number in the Re-enter Account # field.
3. Click the Check button.

Note: The Account # field cannot be blank. If you enter the incorrect account number, you'll receive an error message stating that the "Account # did not match..."

Please wait while MDM verifies your system requirements for automatic downloads.

When the above screen appears, you are ready to receive electronic updates of Mitchell Estimating.

1. Click the check box that states you have read and accepted the end user license agreement.
2. Click the Launch Mitchell Download Manager button.

Please wait while Mitchell Download Manager (MDM) configures components that will allow you to receive future electronic software updates.

There is one more step to complete to get automatic updates of Mitchell Estimating. MDM will need to copy some files to your computer. Choose one of the two methods shown on the screen above:

• Copy files from a disc (takes 20 minutes). The latest Mitchell Estimating 7.1 DVD is required.

• Click the Begin copying button to copy required files.

• Download the files via the web (takes 4 hours on average). No DVD is required.

• Click the Begin downloading button to download the required 4 GB of files.

MDM will copy the contents of the Mitchell Estimating DVD to your computer, so future software updates can be accomplished quickly and easily. Copying the disc contents takes approximately 20 minutes.

MDM automatically checks for needed software updates. This screen shows the version of software loaded on your machine (My Software), your Update Settings, and any system messages (Diagnostics). You can carry out any of the following actions on this screen:

1. Check for updates at any time by clicking the Check for Updates button (top right).
2. Click the Diagnose button (bottom right) to prompt MDM to check system compatibility.

MDM indicates that your Mitchell Estimating software has been updated to the latest version. Under the My Software section, the new version of software appears,
