  • If any components are damaged or bent, they must be replaced.

  • DO NOT attempt to repair, splice or modify any SRS harness.

  • Perform zero point reset function after front passenger seat is installed in the vehicle and all bolts are tightened to specification.

1Using new fasteners.
2Replace diagnosis sensor unit after any SRS component deploys. If none of the SRS components have been activated, check case for dents, cracks, or deformities; check connectors for damage and terminals for deformities. If no damage is found, re-install with new fasteners. If damaged, REPLACE using new fasteners.
3If any of the front air bags or seat belt pre-tensioners have been activated: REPLACE the crash zone sensor and bracket with new fasteners.If the front air bags or seat belt pre-tensioners have NOT been activated, remove the crash zone sensor. Check harness connectors for damage, terminals for deformities, and harness for binding. Check for visible signs of damage (dents, cracks, deformation) of the crash zone sensor and bracket. Install the crash zone sensor to check fit. If no damage is found, reinstall with new fasteners. If damaged, REPLACE the crash zone sensor and bracket with new fasteners.
4After a side or rollover collision: If any of the SRS components have deployed: REPLACE (satellite) sensor on the collision side with new fasteners. If none of the SRS components have been activated: Remove the (satellite) sensor on the collision side. Check harness connectors for damage, terminals for deformities, and harness for binding. Check for visible signs of damage (dents, cracks, deformation) of the (satellite) sensor. Install the (satellite) sensor to check fit. If no damage is found, reinstall the (satellite) sensor with new fasteners. If damaged - REPLACE the (satellite) sensor with new fasteners.
5For side & rollover collision: Replace front seat back assembly following deployment of side or center air bag module. If the front side or center air bag has not deployed: Check for visible signs of damage (dents, tears, deformation) of the seatback on the collision side. Check harness and connectors for damage, and terminals for deformities. If damaged - REPLACE the front seatback assembly.
6For side & rollover collision: If a rear side air bag has deployed: REPLACE rear seat bolster with new fasteners. If the rear side airbag has not deployed, remove the rear seat bolster on the collision side. Check harness and connectors for damage, and terminals for deformities. Check for visible signs of damage (dents, cracks, deformation) of the rear seat bolster on the collision side. If no damage is found, reinstall the rear seat bolster new fasteners. If damaged, REPLACE the rear seat bolster with new fasteners.
7Following deployment of driver front air bag module. For frontal collision, if the driver front air bag has not deployed, visually check spiral cable and combination switch for damage. Check connectors and protective tape for damage. Check steering wheel for noise, binding or heavy operation. If no damage is found, reinstall. If damaged, REPLACE.
8If the front passenger air bag and/or knee air bag has deployed: REPLACE the instrument panel assembly (integrated type). For frontal collision, If the passenger front air bag has NOT deployed, visually check instrument panel for damage. If no damage is found, reinstall the instrument panel assembly. If damaged, REPLACE the instrument panel assembly.
9Following deployment of any seat belt pretensioner, replace all seat belt pretensioner assemblies with new fasteners.
10Confirm seat belt pretensioner deployment using CONSULT tester.
11Side and rollover collisions: If the door-mounted curtain air bag has been deployed: REPLACE the door finisher and door-mounted curtain air bag. Install with new fasteners. If the side curtain air bag has not deployed: Check for visible signs of damage (dents, tears, deformation, etc.) of the door finisher on the collision side. If damaged - REPLACE the door finisher with new fasteners. Check for visible signs of damage (tears etc.) of the door-mounted curtain air bag. Check harness and connectors for damage, and terminals for deformities. If no damage is found, reinstall door finisher. CAUTION: When removing door mounted curtain air bag module from door finisher, do not reuse door finisher. If damaged - REPLACE the door finisher and door-mounted curtain air bag module with new fasteners.
12If pop-up roll bar has deployed, replace pop-up roll bar assemblies and pop-up roll bar covers. Install with new fasteners.
13Remove passenger seat assembly. Check control unit case for dents, cracks or deformities. Check connectors for damage and terminals for deformities. Check seat frame and cushion pan for dents or deformities. If no damage is found, reinstall seat with new fasteners. If damaged, REPLACE seat cushion assembly with new fasteners.
14If driver airbag has not deployed, remove driver air bag module. Check harness cover and connectors for damage, terminals for deformities, and harness for binding. Install driver air bag module into the steering wheel to check fit and alignment with the wheel. If no damage is found, reinstall with new fasteners. If damaged, REPLACE with new fasteners.
15For frontal collision: If any airbag modules have not been activated, remove air bag modules. Check harness, harness cover and connectors for damage, terminals for deformities, and harness for binding. Install air bag modules to check fit. If no damage is found, reinstall with new fasteners. If damaged, REPLACE. Install air bag modules with new fasteners.
16If the pre-tensioners have NOT been activated, remove seat belt pre-tensioners (All applicable locations: buckle, retractor, lap outer). Check harness cover and connectors for damage, terminals for deformities, and harness for binding. Check belts for damage and anchors for loose mounting. Check retractor for smooth operation. Check seat belt adjuster for damage. Check for deformities of the center pillar inner. If no damage is found, reinstall seat belt pre-tensioner assembly with new fasteners. If damaged, REPLACE. Install the seat belt pre-tensioner assembly with new fasteners.
17Side & rollover collision: If side curtain air bag has NOT deployed on side of collision, check for visible signs of damage of the center pillar. If damaged, remove the side curtain airbag. Check for visible signs of damage (tears etc.) of the side curtain air bag. Check harness and connectors for damage, terminals for deformities. If no damage is found, reinstall the side curtain air bag with new fasteners. If damaged, REPLACE the side curtain air bag module with new fasteners.
