This procedure describes how to enable EMS export and set the primary export directory in your estimating product. CCC estimating products are not Mitchell products, and Mitchell does not support or control such products. This procedure is believed to be accurate at the time of this release. However, any representations of a non-Mitchell product are subject to change without notice. Contact your system administrator or CCC for technical support.
When preparing CCC estimating systems to export estimates, use the default settings of the product or make note of where you save your exported data. If you use the default settings for CCC estimating systems, your estimates display automatically when you select CCC prior to uploading.
If you are not using the default settings for importing/exporting estimating system files, e.g., EMS, you can use the following procedures to verify your import/export settings.
Before you can upload estimates, you need to export EMS (Estimate Management Standard) files and save a copy of your estimate as a PDF from your estimating program.

Once you have the EMS Rules set up, you can create EMS Extracts. When you create an EMS Extract, your data is saved to the path you chose in the EMS Export. Your EMS files should automatically export upon locking the estimate, but you can also extract them manually:
The Estimate PDF tab in WorkCenter shows a preview of your estimate after you have attached it using the upload utility.
To see a preview of your estimate on the Estimate PDF tab, do the following.
Confirm that you have saved or printed a copy of your estimate as a PDF.
Write down the location where you saved or printed the PDF copy of your estimate. If necessary, use your estimating system to create a PDF using a PDF printer driver. PDF printer drivers work like other printer drivers with one important difference. With a PDF printer driver you get a PDF when you print instead of a piece of paper.
This opens WorkCenter upload utility.
Attach the estimate from your estimating system on the Estimate tab and click Next.
On the Estimate PDF tab, click Browse to go to the location where you saved the PDF copy of your estimate and select it.
After you browse to this location, WorkCenter will use this path to upload PDF copies of your estimate files.
