5. Add the Estimate to Mitchell Connect

When you complete and commit (lock) an estimate in your estimating system, add the estimate to the job in Mitchell Connect.

How to

Note: If another user has already added an estimate, you cannot upload another estimate. The Estimate card displays the name of the estimator.

  1. On the Job Overview page for the assignment, click Add Existing Estimate.

  2. The Add Estimates page shows all estimates written in the last week. If your estimate doesn't show, try the following:
    • Expand the date range in the Date Range list.

    • Click View & Edit Locations at the bottom of the page and add the paths to where your estimating system exports estimates.

    Tip: Mitchell Connect places the most likely estimate at the top of the list.

  3. Click Select Estimate. A PDF estimate automatically appears if you are using UltraMate. If you are using CCC or Audaexplore, you can drag and drop a PDF version of the estimate that you already created and saved to your machine.
  4. Once you see the PDF added, do one of the following:
  • Click Add Estimate if you're ready to use the estimate.
  • Click Use Different PDF and navigate to a different PDF estimate.
  1. When the estimate is successfully uploaded to the job, the estimate value displays on the Job Overview page. as needed.

Note: You can add more than one committed estimate at once. Multiple estimates display in order on the Estimate Manager page.

If you're having trouble finding an estimate, reference the EMS path instructions below organized by estimating system:

Important: Mitchell Connect does not require you to set the EMS path for UltraMate. Mitchell Connect locates estimates for UltraMate automatically.

Configure the file path the first time you export estimate information from CCC to Mitchell Connect.

  1. Log in to CCC One.
  2. Choose Configure > Machine Settings from the top right section of the home page. The Machine Settings pane appears.
  3. Choose Import/Export > File Export. Export Type and Directory columns appear.
  4. Write down the paths in the Directory column.
  5. Navigate to Mitchell Connect.
  6. Click Add Estimate or Add Existing Estimate to get to the Estimate list.
  7. Click View and Edit on the bottom of the page.
  8. In the View & Edit Locations window, click Browse.
  9. Navigate to the location you wrote down in step four.
  10. Select the folder, and then click OK.
  11. Click Done when complete. Mitchell Connect will now search these locations to find estimates.

Configure file path the first time you export you estimate information from Audatex to Mitchell Connect.

  1. Log in to Audatex

  2. Click Setup in the left hand navigation bar

  3. In the first column you’ll find Profile Name. Click the Body Shop Name

  4. Click Options from the left hand navigation bar. The selection expands.

  5. Click Export. The Setup Export window appears.

  6. Write down the export paths on that page and make sure that the Always Export box is checked.

  7. Navigate to Mitchell Connect.
  8. Click Add Estimate or Add Existing Estimate to get to the Estimate list.
  9. In the View & Edit Locations window, click Browse.
  10. Navigate to the location you wrote down in step six.
  11. Select the folder, and then click OK.
  12. Click Done when complete. Mitchell Connect will now search these locations to find estimates.
