The Estimating Toolbar

Use the estimating toolbar to access various estimating functions. Hover your mouse pointer over each button to see a tooltip describing its default function. For detailed information about all of the toolbar functions, see the Reference section later in this topic.

Toolbar Buttons

	Create a new estimate Opens a new estimate window.
	Open an estimate Opens the selected file on either the Assignments, Estimate, or Repair Order tabs in the Main window. A file must be selected for this button to be active.
	Save estimate Saves your current work. This button is active only when there is information to be saved.
	Print estimate Prints the current estimate.
	View report Displays an estimate print preview. (Calculate the estimate to activate the button.) Click the arrow next to the button to select an Estimate, Related Prior Damage, Unrelated Prior Damage, or Supplement Delta report preview.
	Left Side Parts When you select a part from the CEG part list, the Part Detail dialog box lists parts for the left side of the vehicle only.
	Right Side Parts When you select a part from the CEG part list, the Part Detail dialog box lists parts for the right side of the vehicle only.
	View long expansion Allows you to view long expansions.
	Toggle repair view Toggles the Repair tab display between Full View, Classic View, Graphic View (the graphic fills the window), and Split View (the graphic and repair lines share the window).
	Repair Line View Alternately maximizes the repair lines to fill the window and return the window to the previous view.
	Look up parts for current vehicle Displays the Part Lookup dialog box which allows you to search the OEM database for a specific part by part number or description within an estimate or vehicle service. This toolbar button is active on the Repair tab when a valid vehicle service is selected.
	View estimate repair totals Displays details for the primary estimate’s repair totals.
	Calculate estimate Calculates the estimate total.
	Prior damage Displays the Prior Damage dialog box where you can view prior damage totals, activate prior damage repair line tabs, and assign customer responsibility.
	Part Tracking (Value-Added Option) Displays Part Tracking Information if ShopPak is installed.
	Refinish materials calculation (Value-Added Option) Displays the Refinish Materials Calculator.
	Call host for automated transactions Starts a host communication session.
	Procedure pages Displays Mitchell’s Electronic P-Pages.
	TechAdvisor Opens the Mitchell RepairCenter TechAdvisor Web site. TechAdvisor provides online access to the most organized and comprehensive OEM collision repair reference information available.
	Export review files Exports the open estimate. For this button to be active, the estimate must be saved and calculated (but it does not have to be committed), and the Enable Review File Export preference selected with at least one On Demand file type selected.
	Part Service Codes This text box allows you to add a repair line for a specific part by entering its part service code. This is the same as the Entry Number on the estimate report. The repair line for the part is added with the default Labor Operation and CEG values for price and labor.
	Save or commit and return to eClaim Allows eClaim Manager users to save or commit an estimate to the eClaim Manager folder and return to eClaim. Note: Be sure to save the folder in eClaim Manager.
	Close window Closes the open estimate window and displays the Mitchell Estimating main window.
