Use shorthand codes to standardize estimate information and save time entering that information.
You can set up codes for much of the information selected during data entry.
How to
- Close any open estimates.
- On the System Info menu, click Shorthand Codes.
- On the Shorthand Codes dialog box, select the Code Type from the list.

Click New.

On the New Shorthand Code dialog box, enter the information as required. The fields included in the dialog box are determined by the Code Type.
Note: When you add a reviewer code, the Reviewer Company Code and Reviewer ID are required fields. The Reviewer Name is optional.
- Close any open estimates.
- On the System Info menu, click Shorthand Codes.
- On the Shorthand Codes dialog box, select the Code Type from the list.
- Select the code to be changed, and click Modify.
- Enter a unique code and description, and click OK to save.

Close any open estimates.
- On the System Info menu, click Shorthand Codes.
- On the Shorthand Codes dialog box, select the Code Type from the list.
- Select the code to be deleted, and click Delete.
- Click OK to confirm.
