Read Import File

 

Use the Read Import File utility to import estimate files from other Mitchell Estimating systems.

You can specify the location and export options on the Import preference settings.

How to

  1. Close any open estimates.
  2. On the Utilities menu, click Read Import File.
  3. Select the drive and folder where the import file is located. If the desired path is not visible, click Network to connect a network drive.
  4. Select the file to be imported and click OK. The file is imported. When complete, the Import Status dialog box appears.
  5. To print the Import Status report, click Print.
  6. On the Print dialog box, select the print setup, and click OK.

  7. Click OK to close the Import Status dialog box.

    The imported estimate can be opened using the normal procedure.
