VIN Information |
When the VIN Decode method is selected, a text box appears which allows you to enter the vehicle identification number. The Decode button decodes the VIN and displays the vehicle information. |
|
VIN and No VIN |
When the Assisted, Service Decode, or Generic Vehicle methods are selected, two VIN options are offered: VIN and No VIN.
Unavailable: The VIN is not available at the time of data entry. Unreadable: The area of the vehicle that displays the VIN was damaged in the collision. Inaccessible: The adjustor was not able to see or access the VIN (for example, if another piece of metal was twisted over it). These items display on the estimate reports in the VIN field. Note: If the VIN option is selected and a VIN entered, selecting the No VIN option clears the VIN field. The VIN is not restored if the VIN option is reselected. |
