Change the Labor Operation
You can change the labor operation from the repair line or from the Labor Operation dialog box.
Here's what to expect when changing labor operations.
When you change the labor operation from R&R to R&I, one of the following occurs:
- The R&I labor unit is used if it's available. The family of R&R repair lines (auto-includes, explanation, betterment, and so on) is deleted, and the line is included in applicable R&I overlap calculations.
- The R&R labor unit is used if an R&I labor unit isn't available. A lower case r appears on the repair line and the Estimate report. Also, the footnote “R&R Time Used in R&I Operation” appears on the report. The Labor Unit field does not indicate an “estimator’s judgment,” and the line is included in applicable R&R overlap calculations.
When changing from R&I to R&R, more than one R&R head note may be available for the R&I line being changed. In this case, the Part Detail dialog box appears, where you can select the appropriate R&R part. The selected R&R part (and any related child lines) replaces the R&I part (and all related child lines).
