Start Estimate from Assignment in Mitchell Connect

You can write estimates from the appraisal assignmentsyou receive from your insurance partners in Mitchell Connect.

  1. On the Jobs page, click the bell icon to display notifications.
  2. Select the appraisal assignment notification that you received from the insurance company. You can also open an assignment directly from the Jobs page.
  3. Click the Vehicle card to navigate to the vehicle page and update the vehicle information. Click Done.
  4. On the Estimate card, click Write Estimate to access Mitchell Cloud Estimating.

  5. Add repair lines in Mitchell Cloud Estimating, run a compliance check and commit the estimate when you are finished.
  6. Click Send on the Job Overview page to send the estimate to the insurance company for Auto-Approval.

  7. In the Items to Send box, you can:
    • Select Final to use the invoice for payment.
    • Select Total Loss if the vehicle is beyond repair.

    Note: The Total Loss check box does not appear if you flagged the estimate as a Partial Loss. If you flagged the estimate as a Total Loss, the Total Loss check box appears and is automatically selected.

  8. Click Send.

Tip: You can send additional items separately. For example, if you already sent the estimate but you forgot to add photos, you can send them later.
