You can share system profiles (including the Mitchell profile) with other users without exiting Mitchell Estimating.
For profile tables, only names—not data—are imported/exported: Hazardous Waste, Long Expansion Group, MAPP Matrix, NADA Book, Paint Table, and PDR. These will reference existing tables on the system receiving the imported profile. If a table name does not exist on the receiving system, the tables will be blank.
Administrator rights are required.
Note: In a multiuser system, make sure all other users are logged off of Mitchell Estimating.
How to

On the System Profiles dialog box,, click Import.
Note: The default import directory is X:\Mitchell\aces\Profiles\import (or the last directory used for import or export). The file name defaults to the profile name.
- On the System Profile Import dialog box, browse to the import directory if needed.
- Select the profiles you want to import, and click Open to begin importing the profiles.
- If a profile name in the Import directory exists in Mitchell Estimating, the Profile Import Conflict dialog box appears. Do one of the following:
- To overwrite the existing profile with the profile being imported, click Replace.
- To change the name of the profile being imported, click Rename, and enter a New Name.
- To not import the profile, click Skip.
- When notified that the profiles imported successfully, click OK to view the log.
- If an import fails, you can Retry or Cancel. The specific reason for the failure is identified in the log.
- Click Close. The System Profiles dialog box appears and lists the newly imported profiles.

On the System Profiles dialog box,, click Export.
Note: The default export directory is X:\Mitchell\aces\Profiles\export (or the last directory used for import or export).
- On the System Profile Export dialog box, browse to the export directory if needed.
- To export the profiles, click Save. A prompt appears if a profile with the same name exists in the export directory.
- Click No to return to the System Profile Export dialog box and enter a different file name.
- Click Yes if you want to replace it.
- When notified that the profiles exported successfully, click OK to view the log.
- Click Close. The System Profiles dialog box appears.
- In an open estimate, click the Profile tab.
- On the Labor/Tax Rates tab, click Import.

- Select the profiles you want to import, and click Open to begin importing the profiles.
- If a profile name exists in the Import directory, the Profile Import Conflict dialog box appears. Do one of the following:
