Company or Shop Information

Use the Company dialog box to add information about your company or shop. You can modify the company information entered when Mitchell Estimating was installed.

You can also create multiple company records as required by your business needs. The name you select in this dialog box becomes the default company name which will appear on your all of your estimate reports. You can select any of the names to print on individual estimates while in the estimate on the Admin > Names tab.

Note: Select the empty record to leave the heading blank.

How to

  1. Close all open estimates.
  2. On the System Info menu, click Company Data. The Company dialog box appears.
  3. Enter the new company record name, and tab out of the field. A message asking if you want to clear the rest of the fields appears.
  • To enter all new company information, click Yes, and enter the new company information.
  • To keep some or all of the existing company information, click No, and modify the rest of the company information as needed.
  1. Click Add New to save the information and continue working in the Company dialog box, or click OK to save the information and exit the Company dialog box.
  1. Close all open estimates.
  2. On the System Info menu, click Company Data. The Company dialog box appears.
  3. Select a Name, and modify the remaining information as needed. (If you modify the Name field, a new company record is created.)
  4. Click OK to save the information and exit the Company dialog box.

Reference

Company Code

A two-character alphanumeric field for your company code. A valid company code gives you access to the additional Mitchell Estimating functionality you have purchased. This field appears in the Host Set-up tab of Configure Communications.

Name

The company name. Maximum field length is 80 characters.

Address 1

Address 2

The address of the company. Address 1 maximum field length is 35 characters.

City/State/Zip

The city, state, and ZIP code in which the company is located. City maximum field length is 30 characters.

BAR ID

The company’s Bureau of Automotive Repair identification number.

EPA Number

The company’s Environmental Protection Agency identification number.

Tax ID

The company’s business tax identification number.

Email

The company’s or estimator's e-mail address. This field prints on the estimate report, along with the company address.

Phone Numbers

International Format

Select this check box to display the Country Code field (maximum length is five characters). The default setting is unselected.

Note: Country code information entered into the field is retained if the check box is later unchecked. Country code information in an imported estimate is retained, but the field is hidden if the check box is not selected.

Area / Local / Ext.

Enter the company's Phone and Fax Number, enter the Area Code (up to five numbers), the Local number (up to eight numbers), and extension (up to 10 numbers).
