Tires Database

Use Mitchell's Tires Database to access a comprehensive database of current and discontinued tires when adding tires to your estimate.

The Tires Database is a value-added option. To purchase and activate the option, contact your Mitchell representative. Once activated, the View Tires Database command appears on the Repairs menu.

How to

  1. On the Repairs menu, click View Tires Database.

  2. On the Tires Database dialog box, select the Tire Size and Number of Tires Desired.
  3. Optionally, select the preferred Brands and Speed Rating. (To clear a brand, press Shift + Click.)
  4. Click Search.
  5. In the search results dialog box, select the tires you want to add to the estimate.
  6. Do one of the following:
  • To add the selected tires to the estimate without choosing a specific vendor, click OK.
  • To choose a vendor for the selected tires, click Suppliers. On the Tire Suppliers dialog box, select a vendor, and click OK to add the selected tires to the estimate. Tire vendor information prints on the Estimate report the same way an alternate parts supplier does.

Reference

Tire Size (Required)

Select the tread width, profile, and diameter.

Number of Tires Desired

Select the number of tires you want for the selected size.

Select One or More Brands (Optional)

Select any brand preferences here. (Use shift+click / ctrl+click to select multiple brands.)

Select One or More Speed Ratings (Optional)

Select the check boxes for preferred speed ratings (maximum speed capability).

Size

The selected tire size.

Manufacturer

Tire manufacturers that make tires matching the selected criteria.

Description

The tire description (brand name).

SW

Sidewall information.

TL

Tread life.

TD

Tread depth.

LR

Load range.

Speed

Speed rating (maximum speed capability).

Part Number

The tire manufacturer’s part number.

DC'd

The letter “d” indicates that the tire has been discontinued.

Price

The unit price.

Vendor

The tire supplier name.

Phone/Fax

The vendor phone and fax numbers.

Address/City/State/ZIP Code

The vendor address, city, state, and ZIP code.
