Adhesive Bonding
Use Adhesive Bonding as an alternative method of repair.
The Adhesive Bonding value-added option offers repair techniques other than the traditional welding, body filler, or part replacement. These alternatives may provide more cost effective methods of repair under certain conditions.
These additional repair techniques are available on the Parts List in the estimate and the dialog box.
Adhesive Bonding repair lines behave in the same manner as other CEG parts. They print in the same format. They are also included in reports and export files.
How to
Activate the Adhesive Bonding value-added option
This feature is available to all users at no additional cost and does not require a password.
- If this feature is not available, on the Value-Added Options tab, select the Adhesive Bonding check box.
Use Adhesive Bonding repair lines
- Open an estimate, and click the Repair tab.
- In the Parts List, scroll to and select the part category that requires the alternative repair method; for example, Roof.
- Then, select the subcategory part that applies to the repair; for example, Sheet Metal/Exterior Trim.
- Double-click the part that requires the adhesive bonding repair line; for example Roof Panel.
- On the Part Detail window, select the part that applies to the repair, and click Select. The applicable repair lines appear on the estimate.
- Select Bonding Adhesive as needed.
Replace an adhesive bonding repair line with a standard repair line
- Delete the adhesive bonding line.
- Reenter the part using the standard repair method.
