Using MDS
Preloads are administrative data for an estimate (name, address, phone number, sales tax, policy number, VIN, and so on). You can retrieve preloads before the damage information is entered by the estimator. Information about the actual damage to a vehicle is not included in preloads.
You can retrieve just the preloads. You can also retrieve the related dispatches.
Preloads are retrieved by estimate ID.
How to
Retrieve preloads
- On the Utilities menu, point to Host Communications, and then click Initiate Host Communications.
- On the Host Communications dialog box, under Request Type, click Retrieve Preloads, and then click New.
- On the Preload Request dialog box, in the Estimate ID field, enter the identification number for the preload you want to retrieve.
- Click OK. The Host Communications dialog box appears and the preload appears in the panel to the right.
