Using MDS
Dispatches are messages containing information for the field estimator, such as the location of a car, directions, or notification of a change in schedule.
You can retrieve all dispatches or only new ones. You can also choose whether you want to retrieve the preloads associated with the dispatches.
Dispatches are retrieved by user ID.
How to
Retrieve dispatches
- On the Utilities menu, point to Host Communications, and then click Initiate Host Communications.
- On the Host Communications dialog box, under Request Type, click Retrieve Dispatches, and then click New. The appears.
- On the Dispatch Request dialog box, select the ID from the list. (The ID is preset for body shop installations.)
- Do one of the following:
- To retrieve all dispatches, click All.
- To retrieve specific dispatches, click New only. (Dispatches that have not previously been retrieved are available.)
- To retrieve preloads, select the With Preloads check box.
- Click OK. The Host Communications dialog box appears and the dispatches appear in the panel to the right.
