Use authorization groups to assign a default profile to a group of users.
You can also limit access to certain areas of Mitchell Estimating (Edit Global Menus) or make certain fields required, read-only, or hidden (Design Screens) for users assigned to an authorization group.
Use the system-defined authorization groups as is or as templates to create your own groups:
-
Administrator: This group provides access to all areas of the program. You need at least one user ID to be assigned to the Administrator authorization group.
- Adjustor: This group restricts access to program configuration settings and is generally used as a template so you can create your own authorization groups.
Tip: When setting up Mitchell Estimating, create the profile first, then set up your authorization groups (and assign a default profile to each), and then create user IDs. When you create a user ID, you assign it to an Authorization Group, thus setting the default profile for the user.
