Prior Damage Description |
This text field is active (and becomes required) when you select Yes for Prior Damage Exists. If there was prior damage to the vehicle that is not a result of the incident covered by the current claim, you can enter the information here. Note: It is recommended that you avoid entering non-printing and special characters in the Remarks text because they may interfere with report alignment. Although such characters cannot be directly typed into Mitchell Estimating, they may inadvertently be pasted into a text field from another source. In order to avoid problems with reports, any special characters found in the text will be replaced by spaces. |

ACV Amount |
This amount is automatically generated based on the
NADA Book selection (RedBook for Canadian users) and valuation
Type entered on the Valuation tab. Note: For Medium/Heavy Duty trucks, this value defaults to 0.00. It represents the average retail base value of the vehicle. When the estimate total is calculated, it is compared to this value. If the estimated repair total is greater than the ACV Threshold on the Valuation tab, the ACV field in the status line changes. The system automatically recalculates the ACV Amount in uncommitted estimates when the mileage or vehicle options are changed. If you change the system-generated ACV amount, Mitchell Estimating no longer automatically recalculates the value. The system does not automatically recalculate the ACV Amount in committed estimates. However, you can override the ACV Amount on a committed estimate if needed. |
